In a competitive environment, its important to be able to reach markets first with the most. Inasmuch most of the devices we rely on, viz., phones, laptops, PDAs, etc, contain many hundreds of thousands of lines of code and many, many latent defects waiting to happen how do companies plan to deliver software-laden devices on-time and within budget?
